Virginia’s Deputy Director for Energy Policy will explain the process the Commonwealth went through to evaluate alternative-fuel technologies and pass legislation encouraging Virginia’s state fleets to purchase alternative fuel vehicles for all new purchases. Attendees will learn about the process of drafting the alternative-fuel implementation plan; the economic, domestic and environmental benefits of the chosen alternative fuels; and how the implementation group was able to cut through red tape.
