Willie Hinton is a senior operations and supply chain professional that now has the pleasure of directing Fleet Services of behalf of the citizens for the City of Little Rock. Willie joined the City of Little Rock in May 2016 as Director of Fleet Services to lead fleet operations and the city’s vehicle storage facility. Willie plans and directs the life-cycle, acquisitions’, maintenance and disposal of moving Assets for all city departments and opines those purchase and budgetary recommendations to the City Manager, the Mayor and the Board of Directors. Willie also has oversight of the city’s vehicle impound facility, Vehicle Storage Facility and strives to return those vehicles to the rightful owner or depose of them to the citizens of Little Rock.
Willie uses his 36+ years of leading operations and supply chains from an Operations-Excellence prospective to lead a team of seventy (70) employees with accountability for Acquisitions & Inventory, Fleet Maintenance, Vehicle Storage Facility (VSF) and systems administration to operate and support the Fleet Services business unit. A business unit that routinely weighs in as a top 100 large fleets with GFX and NAFA. In addition, Willie leverages his years as an Industrial Engineer to right-size Operations, his experience as a supply chain leader to select and implement the right systems and his time in manufacturing to select and train the right human-capital to drive operational efficiency.
