Gary Lykins recalls his fleet experience in Antarctica while looking ahead for the technicians of the future. He spent a season on the continent of Antarctica as a fleet supervisor with nine mechanics on his crew and a mixed fleet of about 450 assets. No dealership support, no outsourcing and no one coming to help. Just ice, machines and vastness. What he’s learned about the future of fleet, and the technicians at its heart, from this world journey.
