Fleet Manager | City of Sacramento

Alison Kerstetter is the Fleet Manager for the City of Sacramento. The fleet currently has over 80 employees, 2,600 vehicles, five maintenance shops and a build shop, and 7 main fueling sites. Alison previously supervised the Asset Management group within the Fleet Management Division.  Prior to that role, she served as the fleet and facilities analyst for the Department of Utilities in the City of Sacramento where she was responsible for over 500 vehicles and maintenance for multiple water, wastewater, and drainage facilities. Alison previously worked as a and a senior logistics supervisor and analyst for the Rite Aid Corporation before coming to the City of Sacramento. 

Alison’s recent accomplishments include the design and facilitation of the City of Sacramento’s annual Fleet Summit, assisting departments with procurement and implementation plan for Samsara telematics, securing grant funding, compiled specification and procurement of the City of Sacramento’s first Electric Garbage Truck, lead the Asset Management group to purchase the entire scheduled replacement vehicle list per fiscal year for the first time in recent history, and promoted the ZEV First Fleet Sustainability Policy to all City Departments. 

Alison is a graduate of several leadership programs, including the Regional Government Services Leadership Academy and the Greater Sacramento Valley Local Government Leadership Academy.  She holds both a Bachelor of Science in Finance and an MBA from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania.
