Public Works Fleet Division Manager | City of Fairfield, CA

David Renschler is the Public Works Fleet Division Manager for the City of Fairfield and the lead consultant for EVSE Answers LLC.  David has over 30 years of experience in the fleet industry with most of the time spent in Government service. He currently leads a team of 24 that keeps approximately 700 units in the City’s fleet safe, serviceable, and on the road. David has served in multiple fleet organizations and is currently the Chairman for the Municipal Equipment Managers Association (MEMA NOR CAL).  David has held over 20 ASE’s and has gained the APWA’s Certified Public Fleet Professional (CPFP) designation. The City of Fairfield is proud to have been in the top 100 Government Fleets since 2009, in the Leading Fleets for two years, and received the East Bay Clean Cities Coalition “Clean Air Champion” Award.  He has been a fleet industry advocate attending California Air Resource Board regulatory workshops and board meetings to educate regulatory staff on impacts of proposed language to fleets and infrastructure in both private and public fleets.  David has also received numerous local and regional awards for his service in public fleet management to include the 2022 Public Sector Fleet Manager of the year from Government Fleet Magazine and was inducted into the APWA/Government Fleet Hall of Fame in 2023.
