Kathy Wellik, CAFM has 30 years of finance and fleet experience. Kathy is the Fleet Director for Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa. Outstanding customer service, cost savings, and helping other fleet managers are the fundamental principles that she and her team focus on each day. Kathy is active member in GFX, NAFA, NCSFA, and NTEA. Her fleet consists of a wide variety of vehicles including but not limited to law enforcement, sedans, trucks, cargo vans, and box trucks. Kathy also has the pleasure of providing vehicles to the State of Iowa’s two specialty institutions; Iowa School for the Deaf and Iowa Educational Services for the Blind and Visually Impaired. She and her team have successfully navigated many transitions such as moving to automated dispatching kiosks, tapping into staff’s other talents expanding their business offerings and bringing electric vehicles and chargers to campus. Her and her team at Iowa State University Transportation Services have been named to the Top 100 Fleets in North America, and Leading Fleets from Government Fleet Magazine for multiple years due to their forward thinking and desire to help others in the fleet industry.
