Patrick Barrett has over 44 years’ experience at various levels administering the University of Nebraska vehicle fleet. He holds an Associate Degree in Automotive Technology; Bachelor Degree in Technical & Business Education; Dual Master’s Degrees in Public Administration/Information Systems; is a CPM (Certified Purchasing Manager) and CAFM (Certified Automotive Fleet Manager).

As director of University Fleet Management, Patrick is responsible for 1,200+ motor vehicles and 450+ trailers at UNL, UNO, UNMC and UNK. These vehicles are dispersed throughout Nebraska on campuses in Lincoln, Omaha, Kearney, Curtis, along with multiple Nebraska research centers. Additional international fleet and mobility responsibilities include owned and leased vehicles in Anguilla, Arctica, Antarctica, Australia, Belize, Canada, China, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Egypt, Greenland, Guinea, Germany, France, Honduras, Iceland, Israel, Jordan, Kenya, Mexico, Mongolia, Morocco, Peru, Puerto Rico (US Territory), Sudan, Sweden, Switzerland, Tanzania, and Trinidad.
