Dean Tedtaotao is the Assistant Fleet Manager with the County of Los Angeles Public Works Fleet Management Division . Twenty-five years ago, he began his career with the department as a Power Equipment Technician Helper I and has steadily gained fleet experience working in six of the seven fleet locations located throughout the diverse Los Angeles County environment. He helps lead a team of 106 Fleet Management Division staff who service and maintain approximately 2,500 Public Works Gas, Diesel, CNG, Propane and Electric powered vehicles and equipment which serve the 10 million residents of Los Angeles County, the most populous county in the United States. At the Wednesday afternoon session, he shares his experiences to support fleets in keeping their most valuable fleet asset up and running which is people.
