Doug Jamison is the Program Administrator of Innovation with the Central Florida Regional Transportation Authority. He has been with the Authority for over 28 years, with over 23 years working on transit Intelligent Transportation Systems.
Mr. Jamison has successfully managed projects through the Systems Engineering process including regional collaboration on electronic payment, demand response scheduling and dispatch systems, deployment of real-time information, and has worked with the Federal Transit Administration on automated and connected vehicle projects since 2006.
He is currently overseeing a demonstration of two autonomous vehicles in revenue service on an existing urban bus rapid transit service. Service started on August 20, 2023, operating seven days a week during off-peak hours. Mr. Jamison is sharing the lessons learned with the Federal Transit Administration, autonomous vehicle vendors, and with his peers in the transit community.
