John Murphy is the Sr. Manager of Government Fleet Sales for Bridgestone Americas. Mr. Murphy has 26 years of tire industry experience with 22 years managing government fleet programs at Bridgestone. He is a member of the National Sheriffs Vendor Board, and is a partner of the Florida Sheriffs Association and has provided technical tire instruction at Sheriff Association events. He leads an experienced team of professionals specialized in identifying cost avoidance measures and reducing overall tire costs at government fleets. His team also consults with various State Sheriffs Associations and other Law Enforcement Groups. Mr. Murphy is passionate about law enforcement fleets understanding the factors impacting tire performance.

Over his 26 year career, Mr. Murphy has worked with fleet leaders and maintenance directors to integrate performance data, technical tire analysis and asset management tools into practical best practices which enable fleets to control tire budgets.  Mr. Murphy is versed in the technical aspects of tire construction and how it affects tire performance. Mr. Murphy promotes the practice of monitoring inflation pressure and irregular wear patterns, and empowering drivers to take an active role in their tire performance. 

Mr. Murphy holds certifications in Commercial Nail Hole Repairs, Out of Service Tire Analysis, In-Service Tire Analysis, Fleet Inspections (tire related) and the Bandag Retread Process. He is a certified Tire Repair Instructor (Bandag) and leads training on irregular wear analysis. He hold a B.A. in International Business from the University of North Alabama and an M.B.A from the University of Arizona Global. 

Mr. Murphy lives in Atlanta ,Georgia with his wife of 26 years and 5 children (3 still at home). In his spare time he coaches youth football (8th grade) and serves in executive leadership on several religious and civic boards and councils. Presently, his spare time is occupied supporting his oldest son on the college football recruiting trail.
