With over 40 years of experience in transportation, including 34 years in public fleets. Starting as Parts Clerk, I advanced through the ranks as an Auto Service Worker, Auto Mechanic, Parts and Shop Supervisors, Management Analyst (levels 2 and 3), and my current position as Fleet Manager. I hold ASE Master Technician and Machinist certifications, along with a BBA (magna cum laude), and an MBA (with distinction). Additionally, I have received specialized training in leadership, culture, and customer engagement.
I have had the privilege of working for two top fleet organizations: Sacramento County and San Joaquin County. Since 2019, I also serve as a board member for MEMA. At San Joaquín County, we have earned multiple industry recognitions, including: 100 Best Fleets (5 times, highest ranking #9), 50 Leading Fleets (3 times, highest ranking #30, and Green Fleets (4 times, highest ranking #9), and a Fleet Innovation Award. I contributed to industry publications such as Green Gleet Magazine, Automotive Fleet, HD Trucking, and Govt Tech. I have also presented at GFX, APWA, and Fleet Forward covering topics like car sharing, parts operations, budgets, EV adoption, fleet innovation, renewable diesel, and our successful apprentice program.
I am proud to have cultivated an exceptional work culture and take pride in having satisfied customers and a team of engaged productive employees. We have a diverse staff that mirrors our County’s demographic profile. We employ women in non-traditional roles as our assistant fleet manager and financial analyst. Innovation is embedded in our operations. We were early adopters of GPS, net based car sharing, EVs, and solar charging. We have a fully integrated FMIS that shares information with GPS, carshare, fuel; our EV charge monitoring is next.
