Tim joined the Leon County Sheriff’s Office in September of 2013.    

He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in History in 1993 from Valdosta State University. In September of 2013 Tim took over a fleet of now 474 vehicles and 880 VEUs operating with a underutilized FIMS and two technicians.  Tim attended the Florida Sheriffs Association Fleet Expo where he met Francis Hart (Polk), Ray Nichols (Lake), and Sean Williams CAFM (Collier)    Their tutelage led him to join FLAGFA and soon thereafter NAFA.  He earned his CAFM in December 2017.   He completed his APWA CPFP in March of 2018.  He completed his AEMP CEM in 2021.  Using what he learned from the experience Tim established a vehicle lifecycle, vehicle replacement budget, improved staffing levels, implemented a new FIMS from the ground up, and overhauled his fleet garage.  His fleet was recognized by the Florida Sheriffs Risk Management Fund for Fleet Safety and Loss Prevention is FY 2016 and he was selected as the FSRMF’s Outstanding Fleet Manager of the Year for 2017.   He was recognized as FLAGFA member of the Year in 2020.  He has implemented telematics,  automated fueling, idle reduction, crash avoidance, enhanced officer protection in his latest fleet platform. Tim is an ASE Master Automotive Technician , Service Consultant, and Parts Specialist.  Leon County Sheriff’s Office has maintained ASE’s Blue Seal of Excellence since 2016.
