Mike Usen has worked at the intersection of transportation and environmental sustainability for over 25 years for market-leading consulting firms and large public agencies like King County Metro and the City of Seattle. Since 2017, Mike has led the electric vehicle charging infrastructure planning and design practice for DKS Associates, an employee-owned transportation engineering firm.  Mike is passionate about assisting fleet operators reduce emissions and save operating costs by planning conversion of their operations to electric traction power by employing the most innovative and practical approaches. Mike’s team has completed or is currently preparing fleet electrification plans for South San Francisco, Fremont CA and Seattle, Walla Walla, King County, Metro Transit, Tacoma and Bellevue, WA and are currently involved in numerous other vehicle electrification efforts.  Mike and Chris work together extensively including on electromobility projects for Sacramento, Davis, Berkeley, Oakland, Dublin, Albany and Alameda County CA and Spokane WA.
