Fleet Operations Lieutenant | Fort Worth Police Department

Lieutenant Brown joined the Fort Worth Police Department in 2006 after serving 20 years in the U.S. Marine Corps. Lieutenant Brown worked for 7 years as a Patrol Officer/Neighborhood Patrol Officer in West and South Divisions. In 2014, Lieutenant Brown was promoted to Detective/Corporal, where he served as the Fort Worth Police Department’s Control Tactics Coordinator, South Division Detective, and a Detective in the Traffic Investigations Unit. While assigned to the Traffic Division, Lieutenant Brown attended Intermediate Accident Investigation, and Advance Accident Investigation schools. Lieutenant Brown was promoted to Sergeant in 2017 and was assigned to South Division as a Patrol Supervisor. In 2018, Lieutenant Brown was transferred to South Command as the Administrative Sergeant, which included duties in Fleet Operations. Later the following year, Lieutenant Brown was assigned as the Administrative Sergeant to Tactical Command, but retained his duties in Fleet Operations. Lieutenant Brown was promoted to his present rank in 2022, and was assigned to Central Division Patrol. Lieutenant Brown served as Adam District Lieutenant until early 2023, when he was assigned to Fleet Operation. Lieutenant Brown’s duties in Fleet Operations include assisting with vehicle procurement, selection of emergency equipment, and research in available technologies to increase officer safety.
